PC Related

Started playing with PCs at age 11 on a TRS-80.  Started Programming in Apple Basic at 16.

Shortly after High School I purchased a copy of Turbo C++ and begin really doing some programming. Created several unfinished projects, games, etc. Also started a BBS called the Infinity Gate. This is where the Infinity name got started. I wrote a few shareware utilities for BBS administrators and had a few people register them.

In 1998 I started programming in Visual Basic. I wrote a few small "for fun" applications and then began writing Aquatrol99, the predecessor to ReefCon. After about a year of development I started to find problems and issues with VB that I found where not easy to overcome. I got a copy of Delphi 5.0 and made the decision to scrap Aquatrol and start over for the ground up this time calling the project ReefCon 2000. The ReefCon Product line has taken off beyond anything I had hoped for.

Aquarium Related

Member MASM ( Marine Aquarium Society of Michigan )
Got my first aquarium at age 8 while living in Battle Creek, MI. It was a 10 gallon freshwater community tank. After I moved back to Saginaw I got more into fish keeping and got more and larger tanks. A 50 gal, 40 gal, 20 gal all freshwater. I kept mostly South American Cichlids. Shortly after moving to Hillsdale, MI I decided to try my hand at Saltwater and failed badly. I got poor and outdated information and could not keep anything alive. I gave up for a few years just sticking to Freshwater. After a few year and reading several books and Magazines I gave saltwater another shot and this time things worked. And Worked Well. It was a 55gal I had been using as a freshwater tank. It started with a fish only tank and it slowly "evolved" into a reef tank. In 1999 I purchased a 130 Gal tank and it has been my main tank ever since.
